Böker Plus Dog Tag is a small neck-folder by John Kubasek, who is already known to many as the designer of the successful Credit Card Knife. John Kubasek has now taken the "Backup Knife" topic one step further and presents the 24 gram light-weight Dog Tag Knife. Like its namesake, it is carried around the neck on a ball chain and boasts a thickness of less than 4 mm when retracted (measured without blade pivot point). The chisel grind (single-sided blade grind) provides maximum carrying and operating safety by contacting the titanium liner as closely as possible with the flat backside of the edge. A clever magnetic mechanism also secures the neck knife in the retracted and deployed state; in each case, the action is strictly accomplished with magnetic force, but with a true locking mechanism instead. As a result, accidental deployment is eliminated even when engaged in active/dynamic activities. The back side of the titanium liner is ideally suited for laser engraving of the name, nickname, medical data, etc. Shipped with ball chain and carabiner. Böker Plus Dog Tag folder weighs 24 g.

573CF folder from Italy's Fox Knives is a modern take on the traditional. With carbon fiber handle scales, this knife is sure to impress. The blade itself is constructed of 440C stainless steel. Much like the classics on which it was based, the 575CF opens via a nail nick which helps keep the blade free from obstructions for clean slicing. Meanwhile, the lockback mechanism keeps the knife from closing when you don’t want it to. Users can also take advantage of the lanyard hole. Adding a lanyard or bead can increase the style-factor and make the knife easier to find in your pocket. While it was still a high-end steel several decades ago, 440 is a very decent middle-grade steel today. In their traditional form, both styles have top and bottom bolsters. The Uno series omits the bolsters on the handle butt, a modification that gave the series its name. The two styles are no longer seen as mere utility knives on the ranch or construction site, but also hold their own as high-end EDC knives in barber shops or at a picnic. We selected exclusive matching handle scales made from certified imported desert ironwood, which are riveted to the brass liners. The blades consist of 440C and do not lock.
