Tactical knives are characterized by increased durability and functionality. Their main purpose is military, police and rescue operations, but they are also widely used in civilian environments among hunters and survivalists.

Tactical and military knives are designed for high loads and a long service life. Therefore, the blades are made of the most durable steels. Both high-carbon steels (for example, D2, 1095, CPM-S30V) and stainless alloys are used. The thickness of the butt of a tactical knife is usually 3-6 mm, and the length of the blade is 15-20 cm. The handles are usually made of G-10, micarta and other non-slip materials that provide a secure grip in the field.

Military knives have different types of blade profiles. Widely used profiles are tanto (for piercing hard materials), spear point (balanced for stabbing and cutting tasks), as well as drop point and clip point - universal and controllable in work.
