Description

Atwood Rope MFG 550 Paracord, Marine, is a universal 550-grade nylon cord with a multi-strand construction. The cord has a diameter of approximately 4 mm, a length of 30.48 m (100 ft), and a stated breaking strength of approximately 249 kg. The paracord is constructed using a classic outer braid and a seven-strand inner core. 550 paracord is designed for camping, bushcraft, and utility use: it is used to weave lanyards, bracelets, belts, and fastenings. Manufactured by Atwood Rope MFG in the USA, this cord is classified as a general-purpose utility cord. This type of paracord is not intended for mountaineering or belay systems, as its characteristics do not meet the requirements for certified belay ropes.
