Makoto Kurosaki (黒崎 真) is a renowned Japanese smith who works in the famous Takefu Knife Village. He is the older brother of the equally famous smith Yu Kurosaki. Unlike Yu, Makoto specializes more in the final stage of knife making - sharpening and shaping the blade. Makoto Kurosaki worked as an apprentice to the legendary Hiroshi Kato, and also collaborated with other famous smiths such as Yoshimi Kato and Takumi Ikeda. Over time, Makoto opened his own sharpening workshop called Style K, but continues to work closely with his brother (they own the Kurosaki Knives brand) and other smiths from Takefu.
