Folding knife Spyderco Pacific Salt 9.7cm C91PBBK
Spyderco's C91 Pacific Salt is designed to offer reliable high performance with a never-rust H-1 steel blade. Now it's available with a black coated blade, lessening the steel's reflective qualities and subduing the blade's presence. Spyderco's Salt Series shines in fresh and saltwater staying rust-free even if put away wet. Hollow-ground, the H-1 blade is PlainEdged and coated in long-lasting black carbonitride. It's similar in shape and size to Spyderco's bestselling Endura model but with more rounded tip. All internal steel parts are treated as well making them impervious to rust and pitting. The blade's hole is enlarged to 14mm for easier opening/closing with gloved, wet or cold hands. Textured in a Volcano Grip pattern, the black fiberglass handle has a grippy texture and is fitted with a black Titanium pocket clip that reverses position for both left and right-handers. The addition of a lanyard hole offers a backup method of attachment (thong or lanyard cord) for use around water where once dropped, a knife is often lost or elusively hard to retrieve.

C.Q.I.-Constant Quality Improvement is a process Spyderco uses to evaluate and refine longstanding established knife models. Sometime C.Q.I. changes are large and noticeable, sometimes they're smaller refinements. Recently we applied C.Q.I. to the classic Dragonfly creating a new Dragonfly 2. The Dragonfly2 upgrades some notable features over the classic while keeping the important basics. Features carrying-over to the new version are the tried and tested mid-sized blade and ergonomic handle along with a front-finger choil and spine cusp. Also staying is the blade-to-handle geometry and leveraging points which make the Dragonfly cut and feel like a much larger large knife when in the hand. New refinements include: the addition of a left/right tip-up wire clip, patented Bi-Directional Texturing' on the handle, choil and spine jimping and screw together handle construction. The blade is still premium VG-10, now in a high-performance flat-grind with a PlainEdge or SpyderEdge. The position of the enlarged Spyderco Round Opening Hole in relation to the pivot leads to smooth opening and the FRN (fiberglass reinforce nylon) handle fits the hand ergonomically with a series of grip angles and leveraging spots.

In 1990 Spyderco shook things up by introducing two knives, the Delica and Endura. First of their kind on the market, both folders opened up the knife market to lightweight performance, one-hand open pocketknives that just about everyone could afford. They settled as Spyderco's top two bestsellers and their improvement hasn't slowed since. Refinement has been so ongoing and continual Spyderco tagged the updating/upgrading process with the term CQI- Constant Quality Improvement. During the Endura and Delica's CQI journey Spyderco tweaked ergonomics, refined blade steels and fine-tuned their performance countless times. They are an evolutionary work in progress and the next level is here with the new Endura4 and Delica4. Both models now have screw construction making cleaning and adjusting easier. The fiberglass reinforced nylon handles come molded with Bi-Directional Texturing for preferred traction and improved ergonomics. Inside the handle dual skeletonized stainless steel liners make the knife stronger without adding weight and make an anchor for all external and internal components to attach through adding sturdiness and rigidity. Their VG-10 blades are flat saber-ground with a stronger tip and larger 13mm opening hole. Added to the blade's spine is slip resistant jimping. Commissioned and officially adopted in 2002 by the Ninth Rgt. Incursori "Col. Moschin", this model is the quintessence of a pure combat knife. Inspired by daggers with an asymmetric blade and straight but slightly orientated handle used by the Arditi, in whose footsteps the Col Moschin Regiment follows, it has been re-elaborated in a modern form, endowed with a double edged blade, (single for the civilian version), integral guards and a removable E.R.M.H. handle in Forprene. Both grindings are hollow grind razor sharp. The centre of gravity is towards the end of the handle, the point especially sharp, it is light, manageable and intuitive. Each new Incursore receives one, and each new Incursore is trained to use it in the best way.
