The word 'Leatherneck' has become synonymous with the famous U.S. Marines since 1776 when Congress compelled all Marines to wear a thick, high leather collar (known in the vernacular of the day as a "stock"). This collar served two purposes; first, it helped protect one's neck from sword and cutlass blows, and second, it forced a Marine to keep his head up straight, exhibiting the military posture that was fashionable at the time. Today, after two centuries of personal sacrifice on and off the battlefield, our Leathernecks enjoy the love, respect, and admiration of every true American and it is to them we dedicate this series of battle ready knives. The series has two distinct blade styles. Both are made from D2 steel and finished with a rich Tuff-Ex&trage; non reflective coating: •The Leatherneck-SF (for Semper-Fi) has a saber ground clip point blade. It's hollow ground and honed by hand to a startling razor sharpness. •The Leatherneck-Tanto features a Cold Steel style Tanto blade. It's incredibly sharp blade is 7" long and hollow ground by hand. To keep the fingers from sliding forward onto their keen edge, the Leathernecks come with a substantial guard. It's made of thick steel with double quillons that are turned slightly forward and provide excellent protection for your hand (especially in close combat) while offering minimal interference in the use of these knives when performing utility tasks. The handles are made of deeply checkered Kray-Ex™ that totally encloses the knives' extra wide full tang. They offer unsurpassed gripping power through their palm hugging oval cross section and unique finger trough. They're capped with a thick, machined steel butt cap (not cheap casting like others) so they can also deliver frightful blows with the butt or double in an emergency as a hammer. To carry the Leatherneck knives safely and conveniently in all environments, they come with a sturdy Secure-Ex sheath complete with fully detachable and ambidextrous belt loop.

An important piece of equipment of the Devil's Brigade was the specially designed V-42 combat knife which was also part of the intensive close combat training. The handle of compressed leather discs ends in a pointed impact cap. A thick leather padding underneath the slightly curved pommel had to prevent injuries. The two-edged blade 178 mm made of the non-stainless carbon steel SK-85 is coated and features a corrugated thumb rest around the area of the Ricasso. To this day the crest of the Special Forces of the US Army adorns this legendary dagger. Overall 304 mm. Weight 196 g. The dagger comes with classic leather sheath, but also with a replica of the cloth insignia of the unit which is the red spearhead and with a reproduction of the original German sticker with the text "The worst is yet to come!". Additionally, it shows the 1st SSF label that used to be stuck on walls, cars, doors etc. behind enemy lines in order to demoralize the enemy. It is a fixed-blade knife Extrema Ratio Misericordia Desert meant for those circumstances in which a knife has to be extremely light and compact. Extrema Ratio Misericordia Desert preserves all the characteristics of the famous Misericordia, model adopted by the 4th Alpine Paratrooper Regiment, and is derived from the commemorative dagger made for the 140th anniversary of the 4th Alpine Regiment and the 70th anniversary of the institution of the Alpine Paratroopers. The new desert coloration gives to this model a new tone that best meets the needs of the most modern operative units. The blade is milled in Böhler N690 steel, heat treated to 58 HRC, and is 118 mm (4.64”) long and 4mm (0.16”) thick with a flat grind. The knife weights just 87g (3.1oz). The blade has a spear point profile with a full length fuller that makes it even lighter, and a false double edge for ¾ of its length. The finishing is stone washed. The knife has a polymer grip that flows smoothly into the ring, topped by a skull crusher, that allows the use of martial arts techniques and grants a very solid grip on the knife. It has the classic Extrema Ratio groove near the front allowing a better grip and it is secured to the tang by a screw. The knife is secured to the sheath by a fast release safety that can be easily reversed for left hand use. The highly resistant nylon sheath is also in desert and is very versatile; two adjustable loops allow the user to attach it to M.O.L.L.E. systems, allowing fast extraction in a tactical scenario.
