Shop for serrated folding knives and combo edges knives at MyGoodKnife. When choosing the best pocket knife for your everyday carry, one of the decisions you'll need to make is what type of blade edge you should choose. The common recommendation is to go with a plain edge, but you might notice two other types of edges: serrated and combo edges. A lot of people prefer serrated folding knives. By having less contact area than a smooth blade, the applied pressure at each point of contact is relatively greater and the points of contact are at a sharper angle to the material being cut. This causes a cutting action that involves many small splits in the surface of the material being cut, which cumulatively serve to cut the material along the line of the blade. Serrated blades tend to stay sharper longer than a similar straight edged blade.

Automatic Knives & Switchblade Knives
Buy automatic folding knives at low prices! You might already be familiar with automatic knives, you just know them by another name: Switchblades. The reason for the change of name comes from the Switchblade act of 1958, when it became illegal for anyone in the United States to carry a switchblade, because gangs began to favor the weapons and were using them to commit fast, heinous, violent crimes. Thus the automatic knife was born and has become the utilitarian brother to switchblades, intended to be used for ordinary life, rather than criminal acts.
A balisong, also known as a butterfly knife, is a type of folding pocket knife. Its special feature is the construction, in which the blade is located between two handles when closed. According to the main version, the butterfly knife was invented in the Philippines and its name "balisong" comes from the name of one of the Philippine villages. However, similar construction knives were produced in France. This knife got its colloquial name — the butterfly knife - from the trajectory of the handles when opening, resembling the rotational movement of butterfly wings. Balisongs became very popular after World War II — American servicemen brought exotic knives from the Philippines. The balisong handles rotate in opposite directions around the shank. Thanks to this, you can make a tricks. This is called "flipping". There are even world flipping competitions. When performing tricks, a beginner should remember that one of the balisong handles is dangerous and called "Bite", and the second is "Safe". The latch is always located on the dangerous part. In the open position of the blade, this handle faces the cutting edge. Therefore, during the rotation - flipping of the balisong, the finger should not remain on the dangerous handle. In our store you can also buy training versions of balisongs, which can be used to practice tricks without the risk.
Please note that balisongs or butterfly knives are prohibited in some countries.
Here is selection of folding karambits. The karambit- is a small Southeast Asian curved knife resembling a claw. Known as kerambit in its native Indonesian and Malay, it is called karambit in the Philippines and in most Western countries. The karambit is believed to have originated among the Minangkabau people of West Sumatra where, according to folklore, it was inspired by the claws of big cats. As with most weapons of the region, it was originally an agricultural implement designed to rake roots, gather threshing and plant rice.

The Boker Sherman-Damascus is equipped with a unique damascus blade, forged from different materials from the production of M4 Sherman tanks, which were previously restored by the museum. The unique damascus is forged by hand for us by Chad Nichols in the Customized Ladder pattern and is reminiscent of the tank tracks left in the ground by the heavy chains of the M4 Sherman. The ball bearing blade is opened by thumb stud and locked by a solid steel frame lock, a Hinderer Lock-Stop acts as overstretch protection for the lock.
The overall shape of the knife is a tribute to the aesthetic lines of the armour, while the decorative blade axle screw is modelled on the characteristic main drive sprocket. The slightly contoured burlap micarta handle fits comfortably in the hand and the colour is reminiscent of the camouflage paint used by both the U.S. Army and the Marine Corps. With lanyard hole and practical deep carry clip (tip-up/r). Handmade in the Boker knife manufactory in Solingen. Delivery with noble floating display, certificate of authenticity and individual serial number. Weight 107 g.
