Serrated Folding Knives

Shop for serrated folding knives and combo edges knives at MyGoodKnife. When choosing the best pocket knife for your everyday carry, one of the decisions you'll need to make is what type of blade edge you should choose. The common recommendation is to go with a plain edge, but you might notice two other types of edges: serrated and combo edges. A lot of people prefer serrated folding knives. By having less contact area than a smooth blade, the applied pressure at each point of contact is relatively greater and the points of contact are at a sharper angle to the material being cut. This causes a cutting action that involves many small splits in the surface of the material being cut, which cumulatively serve to cut the material along the line of the blade. Serrated blades tend to stay sharper longer than a similar straight edged blade.

Trapper Knives

Shop for trapper knives at MyGoodKnife. Knife trapper gets its name from the consumer it was designed for. Because of its basic trapping and skinning blades and its light weight, it is a must-have knife for those who trap small game. It is a jack knife with two full length blades; a slender Clip and a long Spey. In MyGoodKnife you can buy best trappers with worldwide shipping.

Automatic Knives & Switchblade Knives

Buy automatic folding knives at low prices! You might already be familiar with automatic knives, you just know them by another name: Switchblades. The reason for the change of name comes from the Switchblade act of 1958, when it became illegal for anyone in the United States to carry a switchblade, because gangs began to favor the weapons and were using them to commit fast, heinous, violent crimes. Thus the automatic knife was born and has become the utilitarian brother to switchblades, intended to be used for ordinary life, rather than criminal acts.

Butterfly Knives & Balisongs

A balisong, also known as a butterfly knife, is a type of folding pocket knife. Its special feature is the construction, in which the blade is located between two handles when closed. According to the main version, the butterfly knife was invented in the Philippines and its name "balisong" comes from the name of one of the Philippine villages. However, similar construction knives were produced in France. This knife got its colloquial name — the butterfly knife - from the trajectory of the handles when opening, resembling the rotational movement of butterfly wings. Balisongs became very popular after World War II — American servicemen brought exotic knives from the Philippines.        The balisong handles rotate in opposite directions around the shank. Thanks to this, you can make a tricks. This is called "flipping". There are even world flipping competitions. When performing tricks, a beginner should remember that one of the balisong handles is dangerous and called "Bite", and the second is "Safe". The latch is always located on the dangerous part. In the open position of the blade, this handle faces the cutting edge. Therefore, during the rotation - flipping of the balisong, the finger should not remain on the dangerous handle. In our store you can also buy training versions of balisongs, which can be used to practice tricks without the risk.

Please note that balisongs or butterfly knives are prohibited in some countries.

Folding Karambits

Here is selection of folding karambits. The karambit- is a small Southeast Asian curved knife resembling a claw. Known as kerambit in its native Indonesian and Malay, it is called karambit in the Philippines and in most Western countries. The karambit is believed to have originated among the Minangkabau people of West Sumatra where, according to folklore, it was inspired by the claws of big cats. As with most weapons of the region, it was originally an agricultural implement designed to rake roots, gather threshing and plant rice.

Folding knife Böker 1969 Z28 Damascus 8cm 111101DAM
Unforgettable moments without everyday life - just like the extraordinary Folding knife Böker 1969 Z28 Damascus 111101DAM. In collaboration with the Italian designer Tommaso Rumici, a unique "muscle knife" was created that combines the distinctive character traits of the Camaro Z28 in form and strength. The elegant Damascus drop-point blade, hand-forged by Chad Nichols with 80 layers in the Tread pattern, reminisces of the sloping cowl induction bonnet of the muscle car. For this purpose, parts of the upper A-arm from the Camaro were used for the blade, that opens smoothly with the blue anodised thumb stud, while the biting stainless steel linerlock reliably locks the knife in place. The aluminium handle in "Le Mans Blue" interprets the lines of the body in a nostalgic way and comes up with exciting details. The notchback, the small rear spoiler and the gill-like air intakes on the rear wings have been beautifully integrated into the knife. The blade axle screw is lovingly inspired by the rims often used on muscle cars, whereas the straight-lined stainless steel clip, milled from the solid, is reminiscent of the chrome-plated door handles. Delivery includes a high-quality floating display, plenty of torque and a gentle breeze in your hair. Handmade in the Boker Manufactory in Solingen.

Folding knife Böker Sherman EDC 7.5cm 110665
For the Böker Sherman EDC 110665 blade, Magnacut was used for the first time, which is not without reason glorified as “wonder steel”. Unlike the tool steels usually used, this steel was developed specifically for knife making. The three desirable properties of a steel - edge retention, toughness and rust resistance (stainless in the DIN category) - represent a conflict of goals. To make the steel rust-resistant, the addition of chromium is necessary, which makes the structure coarse, brittle and susceptible to fracture under normal conditions. High hardness, which has a positive influence on cutting durability, is usually achieved at the expense of toughness. With Magnacut, despite the high chromium content of 10.7% and an impressive hardenability of over 62HRC, it has been possible to achieve a very fine microstructure and thus high toughness and shock-load tolerance. The addition of nitrogen plays a central role here. Nitrogen is actually a steel pest in the alloy. However, due to sophisticated heat treatment, among other things, the nitrogen of the Magnacut is integrated into the crystalline lattice structure of the steel structure and thus achieves the otherwise contradictory material properties.
The central structural difference to the M4 Damascus model is the flipper, elegantly integrated into the contours, which allows the blade to slide open smoothly with a small impulse and invites you to play. The ball-bearing blade is opened alternatively by thumb stud and locked by a sturdy titanium framelock with stonewash finish. An overdrive stop acts as an over-extension protection for the lock. The milled titanium clip (tip-up/r) with a steel ball as well as the handle scales made of wild carbon fibre complete the harmonious overall picture.
A special highlight of the Boker Sherman EDC is the protruding backspacer made of Damascus, which is equipped with a lanyard hole in elongated slotted design. The Damascus of the backspacer was forged from various materials from the production of M4 Sherman tanks by Chad Nichols in the Customized Ladder pattern and is reminiscent of the tank tracks left in the ground by the heavy chains of the M4 Sherman.
