The Ahti Jähti is a Finnish hunting knife designed for field use. Its 98 mm blade makes this model a versatile choice for hunting, hiking, and other outdoor tasks. All Ahti knives are handcrafted in Kauhava, a city that remains one of the main centers of Finnish knifemaking. Each piece is crafted by master craftsman Reino Kamppila and his son Janne, who continue the tradition of making authentic Finnish puukkos, combining handcrafting with modern demands for quality and reliability. The blade is made of high-carbon steel with added vanadium. Since the blade is made of carbon steel, it is recommended to clean it after use, wipe it dry, and periodically oil it to protect it from corrosion. The handle is made of heat-treated Karelian birch—a traditional material for Finnish knives. It fits comfortably in the hand, provides a non-slip grip, and is highly durable. The natural grain of the wood makes each knife unique. A leather sheath is included.
