The Ahti Metsä (meaning "forest" in Finnish) comes with a stainless steel blade. This classic Finnish puukko knife is designed for everyday outdoor work. Its compact size, comfortable handle, and versatile blade shape make it equally suitable for hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, woodworking, and other chores. Every Ahti knife is handcrafted in Kauhava, Finland. Master craftsman Reino Kamppila and his son Janne craft each knife, maintaining traditional craftsmanship and paying particular attention to the quality of each piece.
The blade is made of high-quality stainless steel with a chromium content of approximately 14.5% and molybdenum, providing excellent corrosion resistance, good edge retention, and ease of maintenance. This steel is well suited for use in wet conditions and requires little maintenance. The handle is made of Karelian birch, a traditional material for Finnish knives. This wood is prized for its beautiful natural texture and exceptional durability. The knife comes with a durable genuine leather sheath that securely holds the knife and allows for comfortable belt carry. The classic sheath design ensures quick access and safe transport.
Ahti knives are traditional Finnish knives made in the town of Kauhava. Blacksmith Reino Kamppila and his son have been handcrafting Ahti knives for decades. Each Ahti knife comes with a leather sheath.
