 BD0 R Black  from Extrema Ratio is a new knife designed for lightness. It is characterized by a very slim profile with a focus on lightness. Extrema Ratio RAO Avio Black is the survival version of RAO knife chosen by the Italian Air Force to complement the equipment package. Blade length is 119 mm. Blade is made of Bohler N690 steel. The improved survival kit includes: whistle, pocket chain saw, water purifying tabs, compass, copper wire, flint and fire striker, LED light, 2.5 mts paracord and diamond-plate sharpener. The sheath holds the knife in open position. The kit is contained in a pocket fastened to the sheath by a MOLLE system.

Tactical folding knife Extrema Ratio RAO Desert Warfare with a blade length of 11.9 cm. In June 2006, the “185° Rgt. Ricognizione e Acquisizione Obiettivi” (Target Acquisition Regiment) airborne “FOLGORE” (185° RAO) entrusted to Extrema Ratio the development of a unique knife fitting the unit’s specific operational duties. This resulted in the RAO: a compact survival & field knife, with a heavy and dependable blade. Its very reliable locking system, assisted by an extra safety device, effectively turns this folder into a fixed blade knife. The opening and closing is to be performed with both hands in order to minimize the risk of self-inflicted injuries, as the blade, because of its weight, is a veritable guillotine. The extra safe device is a steel pin to be hand-screwed through two holes by the guard section of the massive Anticorodal aluminum handle. The sheath can be attached to tactical vests or common belts, being MOLLE system--compliant.

 Extrema Ratio Fulcrum E.I. has black 18 cm blade  made of Bohler N690 steel. The blade can sustain loads of over 150 kilograms without breaking. The tanto-shaped blade allows for large amounts of work and wear while still retaining a sharp, penetrating edge at its exceedingly sturdy tip. Thanks to its weight and top-heavy balancing, the Fulcrum is also suitable for hard work on the field. 

A.M.F. (Advanced Multi Function) is a 20,6 cm blade knife inspired to a legend in the survival cutlery of the 80es. It can be easily disassembled. SILENTE is from “SICUT NOX SILENTES” the motto of the well-known N.O.C.S., Nucleo Operativo Centrale di Sicurezza, (Central Security Unit), the State Police counter-terrorism special Unit. SILENTE was submitted to the Unit, the Authorities, the Minister of Internal Affairs and the Chief of the State Police during the ceremony celebrating the N.O.C.S. 40th Anniversary. SILENTE is unique in its kind and it performs unique needs: the handle is crafted in two parts and it works also as the grip of a clamp placed at the end of the handle itself. Besides taking hold of everything that has the appropriate dimensions, the clamp can be used to cut wire-fences, wire-rods, steel cables, etc. and it can be used as a glass breaker thanks to the tungsten carbide insert placed at its end. The sheath protects the cutting part while using the clamp in safety, but it can also release the blade with a retention system that can be activated quickly and silently. It can be fastened at thigh or on M.O.L.L.E. system. It is integrated into the operator's equipment using minimum space.

Extrema Ration 39-09 Ordinanza is the result of a project sponsored by COFS (the inter-force operations command for Italian special forces) and its former Commander-in-chief, Gen. Bertolini. This combat knife 39-09 is a restyling of the Model 1939 “paracadutista assaltatore” (assault paratrooper) knife, a celebrated piece of Italian military history. Small changes which make it a highly effective, dependable dagger. The included hard sheath is designed to be worn at the ankle, in the characteristic fashion of Italian paratroopers. The 39-09 Ordinanza version has Forprene handle, black oxide-coated with COFS logo & motto. It comes in ABS engraved case with an ankle sheath and a parade belt sheath. Weight  338 g (11.9 oz)

Extrema Ratio BD4 Contractor is a desert tan colored double-edged semi-serrated folding knife with a guard. The Extrema Ratio S-THIL Stone Washed is a backup tactical knife of monolithic construction milled out of a 5 mm (0.2”) bar of BOHLER N690 steel, developed in cooperation with designer Thilo Arnd Schiller. The spear point blade is heat treated to 58 HRC for best combination of edge retention and toughness. It has a false double edge to make it very effective in thrusting and piercing and has a full length fuller that flows elegantly from the blade into the handle. The blade is milled integral to the knife for better compactness and lightness, with minimum thickness yet with a pattern that reminds of the classical Extrema Ratio knife grip. This profile creates two small guards and a comfortable thumb rest to prevent the hand from slipping towards the blade. On the pommel there is a diamond shaped skull crusher and a slot for a wrist strap or for giving the knife a paracord grip wrap. The stamped nylon sheath has been designed to be extremely flat and very narrow, to keep it as compact as possible. The tip of the sheath has a hole to allow debris or liquids to be expelled simply by blowing into it. The sheath can be used with belt clip, ULTICLIP or malice clip making it extremely versatile, while it is also possible to attach it to a M.O.L.L.E. webbing just by weaving paracord through it.

The Tactical knife Extrema Ratio K1 Dobermann XXV Anniversary has a modified Spear point blade, whose tip is a combination of tanto style at 40° and a more traditional European style, resulting in a very sharp but solid hybrid. It also has a sharp false edge that makes it very effective at thrusting. The leather sheath is the exact replica of the original, retaining its features of rapid and easy extraction. The knife can be carried upwards underarm, horizontally with a belt or tactically in the leg. K1 comes with a Polypropylene case, a complete leather sheath and a shoulder strap to carry the knife underarm. Weight is 493 gr.

The Selvans Desert was developed as a cooperation between Extrema Ratio and the Master Advanced Instructor Daniele Dal Canto. It’s a modification of the ONTOS – a military survival knife – designed to enhance its effectiveness as a civilian tool. A longer handle and a heavier blade enable enhanced chopping and cutting action.
