Tactical folding knife Extrema Ratio MF2 Ordinanza Col Moschin features twin guards, making the grip extremely stable and preventing any event of a user’s hand slipping onto the blade. The blade-mounted guard enables quick opening with the index finger. MF2 Ordinanza col Moschin is the version issued to 9th Parachute Assault Regiment “Col Moschin”: decorated with regimental logos, it comes in an engraved ABS case.

The Extrema Ratio BF1 CD Desert warfare is a folding knife for everyday use: simple, essential and functional. The blade is burnished, with a flat grind and a thick, durable tip. Characteristical lowered flat areas in the handle give access to the opening “pins”, which don’t protrude from the knife when closed. The reversible clip is located on the back of the blade and engulfs its tang – making it discreet to carry. Employs the trustworthy Liner-Lock blade blocking system.

This Extrema Ratio Satre Stone Washed was designed in collaboration with Daniele Dal Canto, a Master Advanced F.I.S.S.S. instructor (Italian Federation of Sport and Experimental Survival). The Satre is made with heat-treated Böhler N690 steel at 58 HRC. This material was chosen for its resistance to oxidation, for the durability of its edge and especially for its reliability, which has been proven over the years. Given its characteristics, it can be employed in a large variety of activities and fields, including survival and bushcraft, or it can be part of an EDC. It can be worn as a neck knife thanks to its Paracord 550 lanyard. The full-tang skeletonized structure allows the customization of the knife by using the Paracord as an handle cover.

This reliable, tactical knife Extrema Ratio Selvans Expeditions is extremely versatile and strong. The blade is made of  Böhler N690 steel, covered with Black Oxide MIL-C-13924. The handle is made of Thermoplastic Elastomer. This material has a good abrasion resistance and high thermal and electric insulation values. Included fire stick. It comes with a MOLLE compatible Cordura sheath with leg strap.

The full-tang skeletonized structure allows the customization of the knife by using the Paracord as an handle cover. This Satre is made with Böhler S600 steel, which is thermally and cryogenically treated in order to obtain an exceptional hardness of 64 HRC. This material was chosen for its resistance to oxidation, for the durability of its edge and especially for its reliability, which has been proven over the years.

DMP is a multipurpose knife characterized by a remarkable versatility of use thanks also to its middle size. The drop point blade with a reinforced tip is particularly useful for the hardest use. The full flat grinding gives excellent cutting characteristics. The sheath is minimalist; most of the fabric has been cut off; it has got a 2nd level retention system, remembering the style of the model it was inspired by. The main shell is injection-molded in shockproof nylon. The secondary retention system is reversible for ambidextrous users. The DMP model is available in Black, Desert, HCS, Ranger Green, Wolf Gray versions.

Made famous by the Gurkha regiments serving under the British crown, the “kukri” is a Nepalese all-purpose blade descended from ancient Greek sickle-shaped swords. It’s ultimately a machete with a top-heavy, forward-positioned cutting edge, which enables it to function as an axe while retaining the versatility of a long blade. Extrema Ratio has developed two such tools, our KS and KH models, blending ancient and modern design concepts. Both employ combination grinds. The razor-like hollow grind closer to the grip yields a fine, sharp edge without compromising the overall thickness of the back of the blade (which needs great sturdiness). The tip portion of the blade is instead flat ground, well-angled to effortlessly penetrate wood and vegetation. While similar tools are usually made from softer steel alloys for elasticity and ease of honing, we were able to achieve adequate elasticity using hard BÖHLER N690 steel, making for a remarkably durable edge.

Extrema Ratio T911 folder is a light, medium sized folding knife, designed for professional use by military operators. It features a Bohler N690 cobalt steel modified spearpoint blade heat treated to 58 HRC for best compromise between toughness, ease of sharpening and edge retention.
The blade is 76 mm (3”) long and 4 mm (0.16”) thick, with a stone washed finish and flat edge, and rotates around a pin that can be adjusted for tension, allowing the user to achieve the desired smoothness while deploying the blade. Once adjusted, a secondary screw locks the pin in position.
The handle is hard anodized Anticorodal aluminum alloy, with a black finish, shaped for ease of transition between reverse and saber grip. The blade deploys from the folded position by the usual thumb stud and is secured by a liner lock with an additional safety system to insure maximum reliability under hard use. The safety lever is red colored for better visibility and engages the safety in its forward position for a more instinctive use.
The handle has an integrated belt cutter with easily available industrial grade cutter blades, tungsten carbide glass breaker, a stainless-steel folding marlin-spike and a flat screwdriver in AISI 420 steel, meant to help in rifle scope adjustment. A clip is fixed at the end of the handle, allowing for a deep, concealed carry position with very little of the knife exposed. The clip can be reversed from left to right side. Overall 194 mm. Weight 145 g. Made in Italy.

Extrema Ratio BD2 Lucky is a classical folding knife with a guard. The BD2 Lucky perfectly combines the elegance of classic Italian style with the functionality of an EDC folding knife. The ergonomic tan-colored handle uses anodized aluminum alloy and the stonewashed streamlined blade is made from Böhler N690 cobalt steel. The guard also acts as a flipper, and the high-speed auxiliary knife opening system makes it easy to use.

This folding knife Extrema Ratio Glauca J1 has been developed together with material experts of Jagdkommando Unit, the Austrian Army special force. The blade-tip is designed to maximize penetration. It also features a glass-breaker, a clip with three attach positions and a safety lock. Its handle is produced with a particular finishing, improving its grip. The desert kydex sheath is M.O.L.L.E. system compatible and accomodates the knife with its blade extended.

Extrema Ratio N.K.1 Desert Warfare version. Extrema Ratio N.K.1 Black fixed is a reduced-size knife is based on the skinner and perfected to a true tactical knife. The design of the handle prevents accidental injury while drawing. A groove on the back of the blade accommodates for the user’s index finger or thumb, according to wielding style. Due to its overall construction, the N.K.1 is both capable of offense, through very effective slashing strikes, and useful for minute precision work. Total length 129 mm. Blade length 51 mm. Weight 56 g. The included, rapid- release Kydex sheath comes with a paracord strip for neck carry. Further, it can be attached via MOLLE system to tactical vests or to any of the compatible cordura sheaths from Extrema Ratio. MF0 Black T Ruvido is a smallest knife from Extrema Ratio MF series. MF stands for Medium Folder: a product line positioning itself between the BF (Basic Folder) and the Heavy Folder lines. MF knives employ the LINER-LOCK mechanism and are distinguished for their sturdiness; all are equipped with a glass-breaker. An innovative supplementary screw can be unlocked to enable fine-tuning of the main screw, adjusting opening speed to taste. Hemispheric milling marks on handles make it easier to change from saber-style to reverse grip. Clips are reversible. Model MF0 is “the little one” amongst MF knives – basically a compact version of the MF1. It retains all the characteristics of MF1 but has a downsized handle and shortened blade, similar to our SHRAPNEL “back-up” knife.

Extrema Ratio BD2 R is a medium folder of the BD series. Its handle produced in aluminum makes it light and resistant, also thanks to its steel internal frame. They keep all BD2 characteristics, improved with the new high speed Razor opening system.

Extrema Ratio BD1 R is a new knife designed for lightness. It is characterized by a very slim profile with a focus on lightness, without renouncing the usual Extrema Ratio toughness and reliability, also thanks to the black anodized, Anticorodal grip. The modified spearpoint, satin blade is made in Bohler N690 steel hardened to 58 HRC, 2.75” (70mm) long, 0.1” (2.5 mm) thick, with a plain sharpening and a faux edge on the first third of the spine. The blade is deployed by the usual “Razor” tang extension which enables effortless ambidextrous operation. A simple yet sturdy liner lock system holds the blade open. The reversible clip with lightening holes contributes to maintain the weight of the knife to a minimum. Scallops milled in the handle help to guarantee a solid grip on the knife and facilitate grip transitions. With an overall length of 6.7” (170 mm) and a weight of just 2.7 oz (75 g) the Extrema Ratio BD1 R is an extremely light and slim knife which makes it an ideal EDC choice.

This version of Extrema Ratio MF2 is produced with a rough handle for a better grip ("ruvido" means "rough" in italian language). In June 2006, the “185° Rgt. Ricognizione e Acquisizione Obiettivi” (Target Acquisition Regiment) airborne “FOLGORE” (185° RAO) entrusted to Extrema Ratio the development of a unique knife fitting the unit’s specific operational duties. This resulted in the RAO: not an oversized folder as much as a compact survival & field knife, with a heavy and dependable blade. Its very reliable locking system, assisted by an extra safety device, effectively turns this folder into a fixed blade knife. The opening and closing is to be performed with both hands in order to minimize the risk of self-inflicted injuries, as the blade, because of its weight, is a veritable guillotine. The extra safe device is a steel pin to be hand-screwed through two holes by the guard section of the massive Anticorodal aluminum handle – its presence between blade and hand also acting as a great psychological boon. The sheath is an essential part of this weapon system: it holds a diamond-plate sharpener and enables user to carry the knife either in open position, held in place by a cord and two clips, or closed, inside the front pocket. The sheath can be attached to tactical vests or common belts, being MOLLE system-compliant.

The Extrema Ratio Ermes is a full-black commemorative knife designed by the Special Operations Helicopter Regiment (R.E.O.S.), which is part of the Italian Army Aviation. R.E.O.S. is a helicopter operational unit supporting the special forces, composed of personnel specially trained and equipped to support hostilities in each operational context. The stylized knife guard represents the wings present in the regiment's heraldic symbol. Hybrid Kydex and fabric sheath has a belt attachment with MOLLE system.

Extrema Ratio Herring is one of the fan favorite military daggers. The dagger that entered the history of Italy during the World War II, thanks to the deeds of the young soldiers of the 1st Reconnaissance Squadron Folgore, armed with this weapon during Operation Herring. Extrema Ratio wanted to pay homage to this dagger while retaining the original design using most modern production techniques. The unique handcrafted finish on the handle mimics the aging of brass and gives the dagger a vintage look. The Herring NE version has an unsharpened cutting edge, which allows you to safely store this dagger.
