Hasegawa has been producing professional cutting boards since 1955. Initially, this Japanese company specialized in the production of skis, and then adapted lamination technology for kitchen boards. Hasegawa boards are a unique combination of a wooden core and a plastic coating. Their key advantage is the protection of knife blades: a soft rubber coating reduces the load on the cutting edge, maintaining the sharpness of the knife. At the same time, the wooden base prevents deformation and makes the board stable, and antibacterial impregnation inhibits the growth of bacteria.
Hasegawa's range includes several series of boards, differing in surface hardness and purpose:
- FRK / FSR: Soft rubber boards for delicate tasks (e.g. slicing fish).
- FSB / FPEL: More rigid models for intensive use.
Hasegawa cutting boards are lightweight, moisture and odor resistant. Most of them are dishwasher safe. Hasegawa boards are available in different sizes and are suitable for home and professional use.
