Since the first incarnation, the Bowie knife has come to incorporate several recognizable and characteristic design features. The Bowie knife's design lends itself to use as a hunting knife for skinning or butchering game. The curved top clip bevel of the blade, when suitably sharpened, may be used to remove the skin from a carcass, while the straight portion of the blade edge, toward the guard, can be used for cutting meat.

Tanto

Shop for best tanto knives by famous manufactures: Cold Steel, Böker, Ka-Bar and other. Originally designed for armor piercing, the tanto blade is similar in style to Japanese long and short swords. The tanto knife has a high point with a flat grind, leading to an extremely strong point that is perfect for stabbing into hard materials. The modern version is often called the "American tanto". Bob Lum developed the design of the tanto blade, and this idea was picked up by Linn Tompson and Ernst Emerson — they were the ones who popularized knives in the style of American tanto for knife fighting.

Finnish and Puukko Knives

In our store you can buy Finnish knives "puukko" and "leuku". Puukko is a traditional Northern European, mainly Finnish form of knife. One of the main types of universal fixed balde knives. The "golden Age" of puukko is considered to be the end of the XIX century. The classic Finnish knife has always been a simple tool. Compact and convenient – he was an everyday assistant to farmers. Currently, puukko is one of the most popular Finnish souvenirs. Due to its small size and short blade, puukko does not belong to cold weapons. Therefore, in our store you can order a Finnish puukko knife with delivery to any country. The blade of Finnish puukko knife is straight, of short length (60-100 mm), usually shorter than the handle. The handle is traditionally made of wood, birch is most often used, including Karelian, which has a beautiful texture. Also, the handles are made of other types of wood. Deer horn and other natural materials are used to decorate the handles.

Puukko knives, depending on their purpose, are divided into several types in Finland. The most popular are: Vuolupuukko — a knife for wood carving, Eräpuukko — a large hunting, tourist knife, Vaarinpuukko — a small hunting knife and Metsästyspuukko — a universal hunting knife.

Unlike puukko, Lapland knives "leuku" are larger and wider. It is also called a tundra or camp knife. This is a tool that can be used both for hunting and for cutting branches or household work. The Leuku has a width of about 35-40 mm. The blade usually has a length of 20 to 40 cm with a thickness of 3 to 7 mm. The handle of the leuku is usually made of wood. It is wider and more powerful than the puukko handle and resembles a barrel in shape. All Finnish puukko and leuku knives are equipped with scabbards (usually leather).

If you are looking for a useful and original gift, a Finnish knife is a great idea. In our store you can buy Finnish puukko and leuku knives from famous manufacturers: Marttiini, Ahti, Roselli, Wood Jewel and others.

Karambit Knives

Here you can buy karambit knife with delivery. The karambit- is a small Southeast Asian curved knife resembling a claw. Known as kerambit in its native Indonesian and Malay, it is called karambit in the Philippines and in most Western countries. The karambit is believed to have originated among the Minangkabau people of West Sumatra where, according to folklore, it was inspired by the claws of big cats. As with most weapons of the region, it was originally an agricultural implement designed to rake roots, gather threshing and plant rice.

Neck Knives

Shop for neck knives at low prices! A neck knife is a knife worn on a cord hanging from a person's neck. It usually means a small fixed-blade knife which is carried by means of a cord, by which the knife sheath is suspended from around one's neck. They can either hang handle up ("mountain man style") or handle down. The knife may be hung from a loop of natural or synthetic cord, a length of braided paracord, a leather thong, or even a breakaway beaded or ball chain such as those utilized for military dog tags.

Bushcraft knives

Bushcraft is a popular term for survival skills in the wild. A high-quality bushcraft knife should be versatile and strong. It should combine the qualities of a knife for hunting, fishing, tourism and survival. There are many different types of bushcraft knives, but they all have a sharp, durable tip and a durable blade, usually of full tang construction. This makes them suitable for many different outdoor tasks: making a fire, building a shelter, cooking food. A good bushcraft knife will handle all of this. From survival knives, bushcraft knives are more compact in size. This knife is easy and convenient to carry. Survival is usually associated with extreme situations, and bushcraft is the art of living in the wild and enjoying it.

How to choose a bushcraft knife? Firstly, it is absolutely not necessary to be limited to one model. A knife with a thickness of 3-4 mm will be more suitable, for example, for chopping and heavy work, and a knife with a thin blade is lighter and more convenient to use for wood carving, small outdoor tasks. The handle of a bushcraft knife can be made of wood, plastic or rubber. It should be comfortable and non-slip.

Bushcraft knives come with both carbon and stainless steel blades. Carbon steel is stronger and easier to sharpen. These are important qualities in the field and forest. However, such steel rusts, and this is a significant disadvantage. Stainless steel bushcraft knives are harder to sharpen and less durable. However, many modern types of stainless steel retain their sharpness better than some types of carbon steel. All bushcraft knives are equipped with sheath for easy carrying. In our store you can buy the best bushcraft knives of famous brands.
