When opened the blade is locked by a framelock. Titanium framelocks sometimes tend to move a bit stiffly for a long time. That is why Ontario enhanced the lockbar with a steel insert. Great because it means the lock will last even longer. Great! The presentation side of the handle is made from micarta. A light-weight composite material made from canvas and synthetic resin. Offers enough grip and is also strong. In addition, it feels great in hand. The lockside is made from titanium.
