In the manufacture of this series, Kurosaki was inspired by Fujin (Fujin) - the Shinto god of the wind, which can be seen in the forged pattern.

Jeune artisan dans la quarantaine, Yu Kurosaki (黒崎 優) est devenu l'un des principaux fabricants de couteaux au Japon, remportant les plus hautes récompenses et attirant l'attention pour ses couteaux forgés à la main, en particulier ses finitions Tsuchime et Suminagashi. Yu a commencé à fabriquer des couteaux dès son adolescence. Il a entamé un apprentissage de 12 ans sous la direction du maître Hiroshi Kato à l'âge de 23 ans. Reconnaissant ses talents, Kato a commencé à exposer ses œuvres dans de nombreuses foires internationales de couteaux, tout en lui confiant les missions les plus difficiles. En 2014, Kurosaki a ouvert son propre atelier. Ses solides compétences en fabrication de couteaux, associées à une approche innovante de la finition, lui ont valu des récompenses et une reconnaissance tant au Japon qu'à l'international. La finition Tsuchime est l'art de marteler à la main des motifs sur la couche extérieure (jiagne) pour améliorer la valeur esthétique de la lame. Ce processus minutieux est souvent vu dans l'art et l'artisanat japonais, et nécessite un haut niveau de compétence et de concentration pour créer un motif aléatoire mais uniforme. En général, les motifs Tsuchime vus sur les couteaux japonais sont ces petites bosses rondes qui ressemblent à la surface de la lune. La finition Tsuchime de Yu Kurosaki, cependant, est quelque chose d'exceptionnel. Ses motifs Tsuchime uniques, tels que ceux de ses séries Shizuku et Fujin, sont non seulement esthétiquement magnifiques, mais aussi incroyablement fonctionnels lorsqu'il s'agit d'empêcher les aliments de coller aux lames.
