Couteau pliant Mcusta Higonokami 8.5cm MC-0192C
Mcusta's first higonokami design friction folder is really a spectacular knife! It features the traditional Japanese one hand opening and closing mechanism. It is not a locking blade, but the pressure of the thumb on the blade back prevents it from closing in use. It also has a firm ball bearing detent, keeping the blade in place whether open or closed - similar to how a linerlock keeps a blade closed. Blade lenght is 83 mm. Mcusta Friction Folder Higonokami goes with Nishijin pouch. MyGoodKnife is an authorized dealer of Marusho Industry Inc (brand Mcusta Zanmai). All Mcusta knives at our stores are original and made is Seki city, Japan. Check our video to see interview with Mr.Tomohiro Hasegawa - president of Marusho Industry Inc (brand Mcusta Zanmai). Interview was made when Mr.Tomohiro visited or store in Helsinki.

The delicate works on the details are proof of our respect for Japanese tradition. Every shape of the knife has been created and completed in the Japanese cooking culture. We never go against the tradition and emphasize that it is real Japanese knife. The keenness, one of the most famous features, as you already know. Also it deserves to be said that is No.1 in the entire world on the functions such as controllability, comfortable grip. You can feel craftsmanship and their heart and soul on the blade and handle. Employed real buffalo horn ferrule prevents the blade from coming out by tightening the handle the more you use. The ferrule, there is no same color and pattern, amazingly matches the Damascus blade.

Couteau pliant Spyderco Endura 4 Wharncliffe 9.8cm 10FPWCBK
In 1990 Spyderco shook things up by introducing two knives, the Delica and Endura. First of their kind on the market, both folders opened up the knife market to lightweight performance, one-hand open pocketknives that just about everyone could afford. They settled as Spyderco's top two bestsellers and their improvement hasn't slowed since.
Refinement has been so ongoing and continual Spyderco tagged the updating/upgrading process with the term CQI- Constant Quality Improvement. During the Endura and Delica's CQI journey Spyderco tweaked ergonomics, refined blade steels and fine-tuned their performance countless times. They are an evolutionary work in progress and the next level is here with the new Endura4 and Delica4. Both models now have screw construction making cleaning and adjusting easier.
The fiberglass reinforced nylon handles come molded with Bi-Directional Texturing for preferred traction and improved ergonomics. Inside the handle dual skeletonized stainless steel liners make the knife stronger without adding weight and make an anchor for all external and internal components to attach through adding sturdiness and rigidity.
Endura 4 Wharncliffe folder is 5" closed. Knife has 3.88" satin finish VG-10 stainless Wharncliffe blade and black bi-directional texture FRN handle. Thumb pull. Lanyard hole. Pocket clip. Weight 4.48 oz

Kiritsuke Couteau de cuisine Shiraki Hamono Honyaki 24cm HRS
Japanese Shiraki Hamono Honyaki kitchen knife is completely handmade. Blade length is 240 mm. The blade is made of Shirogami Japanese carbon steel. A honyaki knife requires tremendous experience and time to make it. Only a small number of craftsmen in the world are able to make a knife like this. Honyaki translates to "properly forged."Honyaki is forged entirely from a single piece of steel. Forging and shaping a knife is very difficult. Steel is rolled and forged many times to evenly distribute carbon. The honyaki knife is tempered unevenly - to higher values (up to HRC64-66) at the cutting edge. In reflected light, the boundary between parts with different hardening is visible and it is called jamon (hamon). The Japanese Honyaki knife requires professionalism in use and sharpening.
