Description

Japanese bunka kitchen knife handmade by Kenshiro Hatono. Blade 165 mm made of nickel damascus steel with VG10 core. Traditional handle made of cloth with lacquer. Kenshiro Hatono is a talanted knife maker. Currently he is working in Takefu knife village. This Japanese handmade knife is not allowed to cut, hit or chop frozen products or bones. The blade can chip or break. Hand wash with warm water and towel dry.

Kenshirou Hatono was born in Awara city in north area of Fukui prefecture on 6th January, 1989. After graduating Fukui University, he tried to be school teacher but could not abandon his dream to become a knife maker. Finally, he gave up common life and started his dream. He is 32 years old now and has been working for 7 years under Master Katsuyasu Kamo as 2nd generation of Kamo knives in Takefu knife village.
