Japanese petty knife. Hand forged by Yoshimi Kato who is a certified traditional craftsman in Takefu, Fukui prefecture in Japan. Blade is made of Aogami carbon steel with stainless steel clad. Blade length 150 mm. Handle – cherry wood. Do not attempt to cut, hit or chop frozen products or bones. The blade can chip or break. Hand wash with warm water and towel dry.

Yoshimi Kato is the son-in-law of Hiroshi Kato, the man who originally was a founding member of Takefu Knife VIllage. Yoshimi Kato is a renowned blacksmith in Fukui Prefecture. In pursuit of forging technology, he has followed his father Hiroshi Kato for years making every effort to produce sharp and easy-to-use knives, before taking over the family business. His knives are highly valued in Japan.
