Ryusen Hamono is a Japanese blacksmith workshop from the Echizen region (Fukui Prefecture), founded in 1953. The company inherited the traditions of local blacksmiths, whose history goes back more than 700 years. Ryusen Hamono became one of the few factories that received official recognition as a manufacturer of Echizen Uchihamono knives - products included in the list of intangible cultural heritage of Japan.
