Description

This Japanese chef knife is hand forged by Yoshimi Kato, who is a certified traditional craftsman in Takefu, Fukui prefecture in Japan. Blade is made from Aogami carbon steel with stainless steel clad. Blade length 240 mm. Handle – cherrywood. Hand wash with warm water and towel dry. Avoid bones, frozen foods, nuts and hard candies.

Yoshimi Kato is the son-in-law of Hiroshi Kato, the man who originally was a founding member of Takefu Knife VIllage. Yoshimi Kato is a renowned blacksmith in Fukui Prefecture. In pursuit of forging technology, he has followed his father Hiroshi Kato for years making every effort to produce sharp and easy-to-use knives, before taking over the family business. His knives are highly valued in Japan.
