Description

The Japanese santoku kitchen knife is suitable for slicing and shredding most foods. Its compact size and blade length of just 15 cm make it suitable for long kitchen tasks. The blade is crafted from beautiful multilayered Damascus steel with a VG10 core. The handle is made of stabilized pakka wood. The Ittetsu IWZ-112 santoku weighs approximately 270 g. Although VG10 steel is corrosion-resistant and pakka wood is moisture-resistant, the knife is not dishwasher safe.

Ittetsu

Ittetsu knives are made in Echizen, Japan, one of the key centers of knifemaking in the Land of the Rising Sun. The range includes popular models of traditional Japanese kitchen knives: santoku, nakiri, sujihiki, and gyuto. Most Ittetsu knives feature carbon steel blades and traditional Japanese wa-style handles. These knives have an authentic, slightly rustic look and are perfect for those looking for a classic, simple, and functional Japanese kitchen knife.
