The steel of the MG-42 is forged by experienced partner Chad Nicols into the heart of the dagger, the double-edged blade with a discreet hollow groove on both sides. The chosen Damascus pattern, Low Layer Raindrop (40 layers) is excellently accentuated by the symmetrical profile of the blade.
The dagger's toggle and pommel are made of solid stainless steel. In the pommel, the cooling fins and gas outlets of the recoil amplifier (actually a combined component with the functions of a recoil amplifier, a flash hider and a barrel guide sleeve) were incorporated as a design element. Nevertheless, form followed function here as well, for the grooves increase the grip of the dagger in the reverse grip. The toggle and pommel joinlessly hold the barrel-shaped roll of polished desert ironwood, which is automatically centred in the hand by its shape. The dagger is equipped with a high-quality sheath made of dark brown leather with a belt loop and place reinforcement. Supplied with a classy frame case for seemingly floating presentation, certificate of authenticity and individual serial number.

During the positional war during the First World War and the resulting trench warfare, many of the insufficiently equipped soldiers developed auxiliary weapons, which were manufactured in field forges and workshops on and behind the front. In the course of the battles, however, it became clear that the soldiers' equipment and armament did not meet the requirements of this particular fighting style. In 1915 Boker was therefore commissioned by the Ministry of War to develop a compact combat knife that was ideally suited for precisely this purpose. The true-to-the-original Boker Trench Knife also has a stainless steel blade made of C75. This carbon steel with an enormous edge retention requires appropriate care today as it did then. The massive stainless steel crossguard, the old official tang stamp on the blade, the ribbed wood handle and the authentic sheath made of high-quality leather are also part of the original equipment. The knives are marked with a serial number.

The heart of the Böker Plus P-51 Damascus 01BO910DAM is its distinctive spearpoint blade made of 80-layer Damascus, which was forged by Chad Nichols and consists of original parts from the historic fighter plane. When viewed from the side, the blade has a number of visual reminiscences of the historic fighter-bomber. The thumb hole, for example, is reminiscent of the Plexiglas canopy on the cockpit, which allowed the pilot an ideal all-round view. Another highlight is the titanium handle, which replicates the studded light metal plates of the aircraft in great detail. The blue blade axle screw, which bears the Silver Star of the US Army, and the red anodised screws, which are based on the colour scheme of the tail rudder, are striking. Extreme reliability is promised by the titanium framelock with a stainless-steel inlay, which holds the blade securely in place even during difficult work. Despite the clear lines, the handle lies comfortably in the hand thanks to ergonomic cutouts.
