The Tojiro Zen Black FD-1567 Santoku knife has a 165 mm blade. The santoku is a Japanese utility knife. It can replace or complement a chef's knife. The blade features a traditional three-layer construction typical of Japanese knives. The core is made of VG-10 steel, while the outer layers are chrome-plated steel with a black oxidation finish. The traditional Japanese chestnut wood handle is also featured. This knife is dishwasher safe and should not be used for cutting frozen foods. The Tojiro Zen Black FD-1567 Santoku knife weighs 125 g. It comes in a beautiful box and makes a wonderful gift.
